And Another Monkeyfun Update!

We’ve been keeping our heads down for a lot of what we’ve been working on this year, but didn’t want you think we had forgotten about you guys. Work continues on A Town Called Malice, with the expectation of a late April Kickstarter campaign. We feel the game mechanics are tight, but we really wanted to focus on getting the right writing tone for the material.

While we’re tightening it up, our artist Novo Malgapo has started his magic in creating the Malice artwork. Novo has previously illustrated for several Spirit of 77 adventures, and we’re very excited with what he’s creating for us. In addition to Novo’s amazing interior illustrations, Conceptopolis has provides with another killer cover for the book.

Malice will also be edited by Lauren McManamon, and we’re very excited to have her as part of the team. Lauren is a professional editor, game designer, and technical writer with credits including Good Society: A Jane Austen RPG, The Veil: Cascade, Uncanny Echo, and Hack the Planet. She’s also been the editor for Codex, the Gauntlet community’s monthly zine.

While all of this is happening, don’t think we forgot what brought us to the prom.Spirit of 77‘s next Double Feature is currently underway, with upcoming artwork by Ivan Arnal and two new adventures – “Superfast! GO!” and “Meanwhile, Back at the Ranch…” And on top of that, we will be proudly releasing our next Bedlam Hall Terrible Tale, “The Terrible Tale of the Perilous Play”, written by Alex Flanigan, with interior artwork from Michael Tuck.

So yep, lot’s of stuff. And on top of that, we’re also planning to go to GenCon this year! Neat! So stick around, and for more updates sign up for our mailing list. There’s always something happening here at Monkeyfun. Toodles!
